OUR STORY
Founded in 2018 to meet the growing demand for ASC strategy and development in the nonprofit space, we have quickly become one of the fastest growing ASC management companies in the U.S. and were named one of the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies in 2022 and 2023.
While our list of partners continues to grow, we remain committed to a strong culture-focused foundation, top-tier recruitment, and retention strategies to ensure we remain the partner of choice for the world’s best health systems and physicians.
Built for ASC Growth
We were built from the ground up to provide nonprofit health systems and physicians an alternative to traditional ASC network development. Prior to Atlas, there were two options: go it alone or give it away. Neither provide the expertise, experience, attention to detail, or control required for health systems and physicians to successfully meet surgical demands and scale for growth.
Our ownership model signals a new, exciting path where health systems can now invest in themselves to create ASC networks, jointly owned and operated by themselves and Atlas. With the health system, physicians, and Atlas fully aligned and integrated, all parties benefit from a fully vested stake in both the financial growth and outstanding care a joint venture partnership offers.
BANNER AND BEYOND
In 2019, Banner Health turned to Atlas to develop its ASC strategy and to take over operations for its existing ASCs. Since then, we have grown to 32 ASCs, with more than 1,100 team members caring for 250,000 new cases. Leading health systems have caught on, many investing in Atlas, providing a unique opportunity to diversify revenue models beyond traditional regional care.
With an estimated $90 billion* in cases shifting from inpatient and HOPD to the ASC market by the end of 2024, we offer our partners the infrastructure and experience required to fully develop, manage, and scale health system ASC networks to meet this enormous industry shift.
